This is the best starbucks I've ever gone to. They go out of their way to be warm and friendly to everyone that comes in. Every order is handled quickly, efficiently, and with care. The store is always very clean, including the station for customers to get cream, sugar, and other supplies. Speaking of which, cream and milk is stored prepared in a fridge in the back ready to go for when one runs out. It is replaced with lightening speed. This is a busy starbucks, as it is off of a main route, but I believe people seek this store out over others because of the wonderful atmosphere. I pass 3 starbucks locations, but I only ever stop at this one.

Would be 4.5 stars... but I will happily round that up! We went on the day we visited Longwood Gardens. Since we left late morning, we had to find a place to eat for lunch before visiting the gardens. Considering I'm a Starbucks, we decided to eat here. This location is just a few blocks away from the entrance to the parking lot of the Gardens. Easily located right off of US-1, this Starbucks is part of a strip mall, known as the The Shoppes at Longwood Village. Hey, if the shoppers need their caffeine fix for buying clothes or groceries, they certainly have this place for that! If you see the sign for this strip mall, then you'll know that Starbucks is in there. This, however, is part of a smaller building, which is separate from the main building where other stores (including "anchors") are attached. Because this parking lot is huge, finding a spot was never a problem. We walked into the store. It was small, but not the smallest that we've ever been to. They had some areas for you to sit at, but it's never enough to accommodate a huge crowd who wants to sit down and unwind with coffee and/or food while accessing the free WIFI (which was how I checked in here via Yelp! LOL). At least the wooden chairs were okay and the table was clean. The people behind the registers were nice, and our paninis were toasted up without issue. We also got some iced white mochas too, and they were good, especially on a warm day. As we were eating, a lady from behind the register approached us and offered some samples of two of their seasonal items. One of them was a Michigan Cherry Oat Bar, and that tasted really good! Another item was a small berry drink. I don't remember the exact name of it, nor didn't I care for it as I thought it was just okay. It's not often I get free samples from Starbucks since I was being a patron, and because of this generous act, the full rating is warranted. Overall, the store was nice and customer service was flawless. I would say that this is as good as it gets. Woo! :D

Busy location, generally friendly staff, inadequate seating, could be much cleaner, a convenient location, but too small.

Very good drinks. One problem why they lost so many stars is because the guy behind me got his drink before me. The store wasn't even busy since we were the only 2 ordering. I don't care how nice u r but if u skip me when we both have the same order, no tip and minus stars for u. The price of the drinks r more expensive then the Starbucks in Vegas. I paid only $4.86 for a grande frap in Vegas and $5.04 here. The tax here is lower than vegas too. What a rip off.

This Starbucks is always busy. Expect to wait for a seat. The store is like any other Starbucks but with a few things that make it stand out a bit from the rest: 1. They hang artwork from local artist. The artwork is nice and it is for sale upon request. I like this. 2. The staff is a bit more friendly than other Starbucks I've been to. I think they might genuinely care about their jobs... Or, maybe they're just nice people. This is a good rating from me... for Starbucks.

I'll say it: I love Starbucks. I always order the same thing, and it always tastes the exact same, no matter what city or what Starbucks I'm in. I even get excited when they release their Christmas cups. Yes, I'm one of *those* people. I visited this location because I had an appointment nearby earlier that day. The location within the shopping center is a bit difficult to get in and out of- but that mostly has to do with poor parking lot design and inattentive drivers. The staff working were very friendly and conversational, and offered everybody in line free samples of one of their newer drinks. My drink was finished quickly and correctly, and I got in and out in just a few minutes. They had a decent number of tables and the place was fairly quiet- I could see being able to have a meeting or get some work done at this location. They also offered the normal Starbucks food and gift fare- nothing different from any other locations. Overall, a decent location for people looking for a caffeine fix!

I really like this Starbucks. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's definitely a nice Starbucks experience, but it's always packed, so don't expect to get a table to sit at.

My name is Tara and I am a Starbucks addict... its my one corporate crutch... Also I am a NYer (Brooklynite actually) so I am used to a get in - order - get the h out kind of pace at Starbucks. This was a pleasant change of pace. The girls were so sweet and made my drink perfect (unlike some NY store that do not comprehend "very little ice"). They even held onto my umbrella for me when I left it behind.

Why such a low rating? Location, location, location. Each knocks off one star. It's a real shame that there are no cafes or coffee shops in Kennett square that are open past 2 on sunday afternoon: that's the only reason I headed out to this corporate chain situated in an ugly, suburban strip mall. I feel dirty spending my money in a place like this, like I'm playing a role in wrecking the structure of American society. That said, it really wasn't that bad. Starbucks is starbucks. I had a decent cup of tea and a tasty, but overpriced baked good. That's par for the course. Staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was tolerable. I found the Christmas themed decorations a little bit lame, and this atmosphere is a bit colder and less cozy than some other Starbucks I've been in, but they're all more or less similar. Get it together Kennett Square Merchants...you gotta have something open in the downtown every day of the week. When I'm in town, I'll go there, guaranteed. Maybe the Mexican bakery (which was open) could put some tables out; they sure have room for it in their large storefront: yelp.com/biz/las-alondra… I'd rather give them my money than a Starbucks in some butt-ugly suburban shopping plaza that's just enriching some sleazy developer.

I find it difficult to give Starbucks a bad rating because you can pretty much get good service from any location you visit. There is usually someone happy to greet you at the cash register. I mean, why wouldn't they be? You are shelling out $5 for a cup of coffee with some syrup in it....maybe some ice and/or a dollop of savory whipped cream out of a can. Or maybe they are just thinking "Sucker, you people are morons for paying your hard earned money here". But alas, it is one of life's experience's where we can consume a pretty tasty product and enjoy it. Let's not forget the bubbly "Can I get a pastry for you" sales representative. That sales pitch rarely works on yours truly, but every so often I will treat myself to the delicacy they call "Iced Lemon Pound Cake". That shit rules and it feels like you just put on a pound...seriously. Try it, you'll like it. Then it is off to the masterful barista! Ahh, the Jedi of coffee mixology. They know all the tricks in the java handbook, probably even some that are not in said book. They are fast, generally accurate and usually really cool....until my recent visit. It was a beautiful Thursday afternoon and I decided to grace my local coffee watering hole with my presence and hard earned moola. Mr. Krabs doesn't like to spend his beloved money on anything, not even his sweet daughter Pearl. I love my money too but will go a little crazy once in a while. But I digress. Order is placed with the friendly receptionist at the counter (ah, but no pastry sales rep....hmmm, did they miss out on a potential sale?). The place is jumping too, lots of people hanging out. I took a chance and ordered the newly created Dark Cherry Mocha, iced of course...perfect for a spring day. I proceed to the left, just like everyone else and take a quick glaze across the front page of the newspaper while darting a glance at the occasional MILF passing by. Did I happen to mention it was spring time? I then happen to notice that the customer in front of me has received his beverage. Ah-hah! I am next. Uh, huh??? How did the people behind me get theirs next? No worries, it's good. One more? Come on now, I was thinking the barista forgot about me! For shame. Tsk, tsk. So I prop myself up on the receiving/bar area and said barista is finally preparing my drink. In the movie "Good Morning Vietnam", Adrian Cronauer said "we can't even say "lesbian" anymore, it's "women in comfortable shoes". I am not sure our barista was a lesbian, but she must have been wearing some really uncomfortable shoes. I shout a quick "no whip cream please" and it was as if I had told her to fuck off. Holy shit, darts were flying my way. So my drink is slammed to the bar and she goes off on her way. I am sure I will be back another day, but thanks for ruining my afternoon.....bitch. Brush up on your customer service skills. You really need them to be top notch in that position.
